Thrift Store Fun

This is my newest find. Our new apartment has two bedrooms. The spare bedroom will be made into my studio for my creations and business. All things shabby chic to inspire. I found this lamp at Goodwill for $2.00, including the brand new lampshade. It was hideous, but I painted it Tiffany Blue and added some pearls to beautify it. I'm unsure about the pearls at this point, so I may take them off. I'll decide later. Yay for fun crafty fun-ness!

EMarieDesigns-Things I've made thus far

These are some of the products that I have made so far for my business. Most of these things are for customers that I've already had, and some of them are simply for my portfolio to show other interested customers.

New Puppy! Meet Diego!!

My future husband and I have wanted a dog for the longest time. Since we are living in an apartment, and will be for a long time, we needed a dog that wouldn't grow to be very large. We recently found this little sweetie! We are getting him on December 20th, and I simply cannot wait. Right now, his name is Diego. We are going to name him something different though-he is still very young so it won't make a difference if we do it right away. We haven't decided of a name yet, though. This is my baby! :-) I am going to spoil this little man like crazy. These are a few of the purchases that I've made for him already! I'm obsessed with all things Coach. Can you tell?

EMarieDesigns

This is my first post! Yea! As you may know from my profile description, my life is pretty darn crazy right now. I am working on graduating from college this year, planning our wedding for July, moving into a new apartment this week, AND I'm in the process of starting my own business! My business name is EMarieDesigns. I realized when planning for my own wedding that a lot of vendors out there charge way to much for the things they sell. I was forced to create most of the aspects of my wedding by myself, and I realized that I am actually very good at doing so! Currently, I am specializing in making wedding (event) money/card boxes as well as flower girl baskets, ring pillows, centerpieces, ect. I will post pics soon. My creativity has actually expanded beyond event planning! I find myself going thrifting now, and restoring old, ugly pieces to shabby, classy fantastic-ness! Yea go me! :-) Thanks for visiting my blog, and I'll try to keep it interesting! :-)
